Government or State churches as not real churches. They are ‘churches’ made by governments to manage the people in that kingdom, country or society. They often have books of prayer so as to appear that all is legit, holy and normal. Yet these steps are mere formalities. This is simply government wearing religious clothing for political expediency. In Europe Catholic, Anglican, Lutheran, Calvinist government churches persecuted anabaptist groups for not wanting to become members of these government churches. In the Peoples Republic of China you have the government run Three Selves Church. This is nothing more than a government ministry run by the Public Security Bureau (PSB). The real church in China is an underground church.
Often the pastors, ministers and priests in these government churches are nothing more than employees of the state.
Conformity is the goal here. These places are not about a relationship with Jesus Christ.
